Introduction:
We are surrounded by computers right from computers for treating patients in hospitals to computers at our home. You can see we are surrounded by technology. Similarly, two of the most heard terms are hardware and software. Both the terms are related to technology and computers so it is important to know why they are important.
The hardware of a computer includes CPU, monitor, mouse, keyboard, graphics card, speakers, motherboard, computer data storage. In other words, things that we see physically are hardware. Software, on the other hand, provides instructions that are stored and are run by the hardware.
Importance of Hardware and Software:

A computer machine is only made up of two components that are hardware and the software used in a particular device. The software has got two parts in a computer system and those are system software and the other one is application software. Software is basically an algorithm that makes it possible for hardware to execute those.
What is System Software?
The system software is the important software than application software because without system software you cannot perform anything on the device or on your computer. System software provides a set of programs that help to manage the resources of the computer such as the CPU, peripheral devices, and also the communication links.
Some of the best examples of system software are Microsoft Windows, Linux, BIOS Software, Safari, Chrome, AutoCAD, Microsoft Powerpoint etc.
What is Application software?
An application software, on the other hand, is important too, for the basic performing of tasks. The software best describes that are written by the users to conduct a specific task on the computer. Say suppose you need to write something on your computer then the MS Word application software will help you do that. Without MS Word you cannot perform the writing stuff.
Functions of Hardware:
We know that everything that can be seen, touched, or everything that is tangible comes under a hardware system. The types of equipments of a hardware system provide support for crucial functions like input, processing, output, secondary storage, and communication.
These are the four main functions of computer hardware where input means the input of data in the computer, processing means internal storage, secondary storage means for storing data, and the programs.
Conclusion:
Computers having the best hardware functionality and software on the computer will help you perform your work smoothly. And, nowadays several IT companies are making sure that selecting of computer hardware and computer software is a very important decision to make your business go running and smooth.
